Brand New Primary School and Nursery for the Community of South Lanarkshire
Pupils and Teachers moved into their impressive new Tinto Primary School and Nursery in Symington, South Lanarkshire this week after David H Allan successfully completed a varied trades package for our client South Lanarkshire Council, who completed all build elements of the project.
Working in close conjunction with the client, we delivered an extensive joinery and decoration package on this impressive new build Primary School and Nursery in the picturesque country village of Symington, South Lanarkshire.
We completed all new partitioning installations and fitted new doors throughout. We also carried out a range of other different joinery installations and joinery finishing works across the entire school and nursery, including in the offices, toilets, stores, in the kitchen and in various multi-purpose areas. We fitted numerous glazed screens in several rooms and in the entrance areas and we carried out joinery finishing works to all new windows, doors and internal ironmongery.
In addition to all joinery works, we also completed all internal and external painting and decoration to the school and nursery area, inclusive of several brightly painted internal feature walls. Decoration works also included ames taping throughout.
Steven McLaren, Director of David H Allan Group said "we worked hand in hand with South Lanarkshire Council throughout this project to provide a first class education facility for the local community. Walking around the finished school, the end result speaks for itself which is a modern, bright building with a high-spec finish that the pupils and teachers can be proud of being a part of".
The new school and nursery was completed on budget and within a very tight timescale, opening May 2018. The new building is spacious and airy and it offers both the children and the staff an excellent and brand new learning and teaching facility which serves several towns and villages in the Lanarkshire area.
